ED-EYE Outreach exists to improve lives by delivering accessible, high-quality eye care services and promoting eye-health awareness. The organization’s mission also includes supporting research and innovation, training future eye-care professionals, and partnering with communities and stakeholders to eliminate avoidable blindness and visual impairment.

The maiden outreach took ED-EYE to Ghana’s Western Region, where 193 refugees were screened and medications, readers, referrals and donations were provided.
177 students and staff were screened, 15 people received free prescription glasses, and assistive and food items were donated to the school.
